As there is no doubt that the iPhone maker has made a comeback at the top spot after five years and beating the leading brand of smartphones Samsung. 1. Apple


Apple made an excellent comeback and became the leading smartphone brand with success of iPhone 7 and & plus. According to a report of The Economics Time it has made a record of 78.3 unit in the fourth quarter, up to 4.7 percent from the syame quarter one years ago.Although the iPhone 7 did not feature a drastically different design from its predecessor, it bring another improved processor with more robust camera and water resistance.

2. Samsung


Samsung has come down to the second in the word  after Apple with  shipment declining 5.2% compared to the previous year. Despite the Note 7 debacle and growing pressure from Chinese vendors, Samsung still manages to find its place in the market. It has success with its S7 and the most popular J-series in the various market. The challenging quarter did bring its market shares less than 20% for the first time in over the four years.

3. OnePlus


A Chinese brand smartphone headquartered in Shenzhen. After Samsung the another most popular and the biggest brand of smartphones in the world's market is OnePlus. This company of smartphones is known for its mid range smartphones which is called flagship killers. It is also spreading its wings to India. It's latest launched the successor to its OnePlus 3 smartphone, OnePlus 3T.

4. Huwaei

The Chinese smartphone brand has been placed on the number four position in the world's market. And it is position three in the world smartphone brand in gaining the market share. Huwaei shipped 45.4 million units in quarter two 2016 and shipped 32.7 in fourth quarter in 2015. The P series and Honor sub brand drove essential volume in China as well as other countries in Asia and beyond. The brand has also spread in European countries and it it also planning to set its units in US.

5. Oppo

A Chinese manufacturer entered in market with smartphones in 2008 and continued its push to reach in the top of the market with its fourth quarter of greater than 100 percent year over year growth. Oppo focuses on the growth of the market share outside Chine and it concentrates on internal expansion and so far it has been successful in this. Southeast Asia and India have been a focal point for oppo growth in 2016 by an excellent marketing campaigns.

6. Vivo

Chinese smartphone brand founded in 2009. Vivo remains the  top sixth vendor of smartphone in the world's market. It shipped 24.7 million smartphones in the last quarter. The majority of shipment has been done to China. It also has an aggressive marketing strategies and spread over southeast Asia , looking for extending its reach. It has been noticed 103% growth in the shipment if its products compared to the same quarter of the last year.
